About Ms. Anantram
Alvina attended New York University where she earned her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling. Prior to that, Alvina attended York University in Toronto where she obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, while completing a thesis focusing on cultural identity, self-esteem, and body image. Alvina’s experience working with clients from various cultural backgrounds has allowed her to understand and value the unique lens her clients use to view their world in order to implement clinical interventions that are culturally appropriate for them.
Clinical Approach: Alvina uses her warmth, cultural sensitivity, and empathy to explore her client’s presenting challenges in a collaborative manner. She provides insight, confronts distorted thinking, while embodying self-love, gratitude, and coping strategies to help clients develop a healthy resilient life.
