About Ms. Linson
Theresa attended CUNY John Jay, where she earned her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling, with a specialization in forensics. Prior to that, Theresa attended Ramapo College of New Jersey where she obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Post-Master’s, Theresa completed a Motivational Interviewing Training at the Training & Practical Implementation Institute. She also received training for Verbal De-Escalation Skills to Support Resiliency, Trauma Informed Care, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for Recidivism with Court Involved Youth at the Coalition for Behavioral Health.
Clinical Approach: Theresa uses genuine empathy and cultural sensitivity to understand the unique set of experiences each of her clients bring to therapy while she actively provides insight and coping tools to address her clients’ concerns.
